As part of your treatment plan to regain your ejaculatory control you will want to do some methods that will teach you the fine art of relaxation, deep breathing, whole-body arousal, and controlled sexual excitement. Here are some tips to go along with the methods that your doctor will undoubtedly give you. It is difficult for men to control ejaculation from the missionary position (man-on-top) because they have to concentrate on holding themselves up over the female, so use positions that allow the man to relax like (man-on-bottom) or side positions. Love moans will help both the male and female to relax during sexual activity.... so get used to making noise! Give yourself the time you need to practice ejaculatory control. Maintain your humor, there will be "accidents", so don't take it too personally if you fail along the way. The key to ejaculatory control is for the male to become familiar with how it feels to become aroused, back off from the "point of no return" all while maintaining arousal. This does take practice. Use topical creams if you must but remember that the real key to success is learning how to master the art of control, creams are not the answer, only a temporary tool. One thing that leads to premature ejaculation is the penis-centered activity that puts all the pressure on the penile performance, take the pressure off the penis and explore ways to create sexual arousal in every part of both the make and female body and when the pressure is off, the penis will perform better. Stay clear of alcohol and recreational drugs, as both will defeat your purpose of controlling your ejaculations by robbing you of the ability to be in control of what you are doing, feeling and thinking. Improve what you eat. Sugar, fats and grease can rob your body of needed energy required for sexual activity. Learn some relaxation techniques or distraction methods that will help you to delay ejaculation. Stay away from tobacco so that you will have better blood flow to the penile area. Use a condom to help reduce the sensation to the penis. Try different positions during intercourse that may help you to be more relaxed and in control. Counseling or behavioral therapy may help to reduce anxiety or depression. Don't be afraid to accept help in regards to medications both oral and topical. Just make sure that you ask questions regarding side effects. Commonly prescribed medications are Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft and lidocaine based topical anesthetic creams. Masturbate a few hours before having intercourse so that it will be easier to delay ejaculation. Do not delay; get help as soon as you recognize the problem. Delaying will only add to your anxiety and allow things to fester regarding your relationship (sexual problems usually affect the relationship) Seek help from medical professionals, or online premature ejaculation sites if talking about it face to face is difficult for you. |
