3 Steps To Fat Loss

If there was a secret way for you to turn on the fat burning mechanism in your body to help you shed that unwanted body fat would you be interested in hearing about it?  Well, there is a way, but it really isn't a secret.  It is a simple process where you only need to do three things in order to be successful and start burning off that body fat.  You need to start doing some aerobic exercise, eat lots of high quality protein, and improve your muscle mass.  If you can do all three of those things you will be surprised by how much body fat you can burn off.

lose body fatMake aerobic exercise a regular part of your workouts at least three days a week.  When you do your aerobic workout make sure that it lasts at least twenty minutes.  Studies have shown that you have to spend at least twenty minutes performing an aerobic workout before your body shifts from a glycogen burning mechanism to a fat burning mechanism.  If you do not do the aerobic exercise for at least twenty minutes then your body won't switch over to burning fat and all you have done is wasted your time.  Do your aerobic exercise for at least twenty minutes every single time.  The fat burning will continue long after you have finished the workout.

Eat a lot of high quality protein.  You should consume at least some protein at every meal.  Protein will not only provide your body with what it needs to repair itself after your workouts but protein also will make you feel full faster and it has a thermogenic effect.  Protein will increase your metabolism and multiply the fat burning effects that you are getting from the aerobic exercise.  Be sure that the protein that you consume is of the best quality.  The source of protein in some of the protein powders and protein bars is suspect so always read the labels.  Your best bet for a high quality protein is chicken or turkey breast, baked, boiled, or grilled.

Increase your muscle mass to burn more fat.  Lean muscle burns a lot more calories than body fat and will increase your metabolism.  The more muscle you have the more calories your body is going to burn while it is at rest.  Exercise such as  weight training has also been shown to aid in the fat burning process when used in conjunction with aerobic exercise.  The best time to do your weight training is immediately before your aerobic workout.  Just don't over do it, your body will tell you when you are working it too hard.  Make sure you are listening.

Get that unwanted body fat on the run.  Make sure you get your aerobic workout in at least three days a week for at least twenty minutes for it to be effective, eat lots of high quality protein as part of your fat loss diet, and start lifting some weights and add some muscle mass to your body.  Accomplish all of these and you will not only see the fat loss that you want but you will also feel and look better.
